Neglect : Breaking The Cycle - Level 3 Training

TARGET AUDIENCE

Those who work with complex family issues affecting parenting capacity and who go into a family home to undertake interventions that aim to reduce the impact of neglect on the child. This includes those who have a supervisory or managerial role in supervising neglect cases.

e.g. FRS, Health Visitors, School Nurses, Designated Safeguarding Leads, Schools and Academies and other workers in schools who go into homes, Education Welfare Officers, Youth Offending Service Workers, Young People Support Services, Social Workers, Parental Engagement Workers, Family Hub Practitioners, Voluntary and Community Organisations.

PRE-REQUISITES

Level 2 Keeping the Neglected Child in Focus training and see the neglect training pathway for further information.

• Cause and effect
• Build on the assessment process
• Interventions and managing change
• Improving outcomes in neglect cases
